A Dynamic Effects extension is available here. This version is specific to SW3.

An Underwater Rendering extension is currently not available. This is still undergoing its Unity 6 change and will be released at a later time.

What’s new?

  • Rewritten rendering code for Render Graph support
  • Support for Adaptive Probe Volumes
  • Revamped wave animations, allowing for various types of waves
  • GPU-based height query system, making rivers and Dynamic Effects readable
  • Water decals, snaps textures onto the water (oil spills, weeds, targeting reticles)
  • Improved wave crest foam shading (min/max range + bubbles)
  • Ocean mesh component, 8x8km mesh with gradual vertex density
  • Improved support for RigidBodies for the Align To Water component
  • Waterfall prefabs (3 sizes)
  • Height Pre-pass, allows other shaders to read out the water surface height.

A few notes:

  • Scripting knowledge is not required to use this asset. Any reference to scripts or an API assumes familiarity with C# scripting. Neither the documentation or support can cover basic scripting help.
  • Adding the package to a public repository (GitHub) is a license violation and will subject you to an automatic DMCA takedown-request. Please omit the files, or keep the repository private.
  • Source code may be altered freely to suit your needs. Though you are strictly forbidden to copy or reference the content for creating new Asset Store publications (that includes you, Eric!)
  • All the demo content is authored for desktop/console level graphics. Mobile-specific content is unfortunately not possible, while a scene and its content may be perfectly optimized for mobile, a project’s configuration may absolutely not be. In order to avoid confusion and alleged false claims, this is simply not attempted at all. See also the Performance Guidelines section
