Version: 1.1.2

2.Getting Started #

Base asset

At this point you should already have the Stylized Water 2 asset installed. The Dynamic Effects extension will import directly into its folder. Without this installed first, you’ll be posed with at least one unsolvable console error.

The minimum required version is 1.5.2

Project set up

In order for rendering to take place, you are required to add the “Water Dynamic Effects” render feature to your renderer(s).

To do so:

  • Open the demo scene, and popup window will be displayed
  • (Or) Go to Window->Stylized Water 2->Set up Dynamic Effects

The render feature itself has several configurable options, all geared towards quality/performance balancing. If you have different pipeline assets, per Quality Level, it is recommended to now adjust these settings for each of them.

Every parameter has a tooltip, hover the cursor over one to display it.

    Scene setup

If you are using the Underwater Rendering extension, it is recommended to increase the Water level padding value.

This is because effects may push the water up locally, effectively increasing the water level temporarily.

    Demo scene

It is recommended to check this out, as it showcases various effects with some explanation.

Still not seeing anything happen to the water?

Select the water shader in the StylizedWater2/Shaders folder and click “Recompile”
