You’ll find that every parameter in the inspector has a tooltip, to describe its function. Therefore these are not covered in the documentation.

Support for the Built-in and HDRP, out of the box, for this asset is hindered by the VFX Graph having to be set up for a specific render pipeline. URP is chosen as the default in this case. It comes down to a minor node set up in the graph, so it could very easily work in HDRP.

Support for cross render pipeline compatibility has been on Unity‘s roadmap since 2022, but doesn‘t seem to go anywhere. A way to push for this is to vote on the roadmap item: https://portal.productboard.com/unity/1-unity-platform-rendering-visual-effects/c/1688-cross-pipeline-lit You could use the following statement:

This feature allows content on the Unity asset store, built using the VFX Graph, to target multiple render pipelines within a single package with no additional setup or user interaction/knowledge required.

With Shader Graph already supporting multiple render pipelines, VFX-based content will be able to follow suit!
