12.1.Edge Detection
Draws a line where an edge is detected by comparing the information of neighboring pixels. It features several different solvers
- An edge has a minimum thickness of 1 pixel. This means at lower resolutions, edges may appear thicker. For instance, in the scene-view window
- MSAA will not apply to the edges, since the effect renders as a post processing effect. AA options on the main camera do have an effect!
The effect can analyze differences in Depth, Normals and Colors to create an edge.
The 3D Noise functionality can break up edges and add variable thickness.
It’s important to note that shaders that aren’t capable of writing to the depth texture will not be affected by the Depth & Normals parameters. In most cases this means transparent materials.
